Our Adoption Story | The Anderson Family

Our journey started in 2016 as we had a desire to grow our family, which at the time was us and our two boys Noah and Caleb. We felt the invitation of the Lord to grow our family through adoption. We had always talked about adoption as we both lived in nations where we saw such a great need for children to be placed in families. Our friends Denny and Mindy Thybault, who had adopted multiple times became our adoption mentors and helped through the process. We also hired Christian Family Consultants to guide us through the steps of adoption. We began by completing our home study, and soon after started receiving profiles of birth mothers. We were matched with a birth mother and were so happy and excited. We walked through the journey with her only for her to change her mind after giving birth...

We came home sad and disappointed, but felt the Lord encourage us to keep going. To our surprise we were soon matched with a birth mother who was due to give birth in three weeks. We had to trust the Lord and we are so glad we did! Our baby girl Shiloh Amara was placed in our arms and was forever ours. We couldn’t have written a sweeter story. She has been an amazing miracle from the Lord for our whole family.
